Altman Plants services many of our country’s leading national retailers, supermarkets, and independent nurseries. We help to supply the nation with quality live plants from the following locations.
Altman Plants is based in Vista, California, located in the North County area of San Diego. Our Southern California facilities include North San Diego and Riverside Counties, which includes over 1,200 acres of production and 3 million square feet of greenhouse, allowing us to produce a diverse variety of Cactus & Succulents.
At our Altman Plants flagship facility in Lake Mathews in the county of Riverside, California, we grow our flowering annuals and perennials, along with grasses, ferns, lilies, herbs, vegetables, and bedding plants. This 670-acre facility also serves as a major distribution center for much of California and parts of Nevada and Arizona.
Salinas, on the central coast of California, is the perfect climate for growing robust Annuals, Perennials, and Specialty Plants. From this facility of 120 acres, with 1.5 million square feet of greenhouse we service our northern and central California customers as far north as Redding, south to Santa Barbara and as far east as Bakersfield.
Altman Plants’ Texas Facility is located between Austin and Houston in the town of Giddings. The facility, once completed, will include 36 acres of growing grounds and a large on-site water collection and retention system. This facility services the Houston and Dallas markets, as well as Eastern Texas.
Altman Plants’ in Peyton, Colorado, covers 400 acres and includes a contiguous 32-acre Greenhouse Production Facility. The state-of-the-art facility is complete with automated environmental controls, irrigation booms, and plant conveyor systems allowing for efficient production of plants and vegetables.
Complementing our distribution capabilities is the Altman Plants 75-acre production facility in Loxahatchee, Florida with 600,000 square feet of greenhouse and shade structure space. From here we supply, grow, and ship many tropical plant varieties and other plants to the east coast and Florida markets.
