Class A and Class C Drivers

Altman Plants is a dynamic family-owned wholesale nursery that produces and distributes a wide range of plants for major retailers around the country from facilities in CA, AZ, CO, TX, GA, NJ, and FL. We are looking for Class A or C Drivers for our Sacramento location. This position is responsible for the delivery of live nursery goods. The position reports to the Northern California Distribution & Order Fulfillment Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide exceptional customer service.
• Operate vehicles and all equipment in a safe, responsible and professional manner.
• Inspect vehicle daily for damage or needed repairs and turn in paperwork accordingly.
• Keep all paper and/or electronic logs up to date in an accurate and timely manner in compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements.
• Effectively merchandise fresh plants from our delivery racks to retail displays.
• Drivers will sweep and cleanup after merchandising.
• Able to communicate with store-level personnel and company teammates regularly.
• Perform other related duties and assignments as requested.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum 21 years old with a valid Class A or C driver’s license.
• Minimum 2 years commercial driving experience.
• All Drivers must maintain good standing driving record.
• Ability to travel in California and Nevada.
• All Drivers must pass pre-employment substance abuse screening & DOT physical.
• Meet all qualifications as defined under DOT requirements.
• Drivers must possess a valid State Driver’s License and have an acceptable DMV driving record.
• Must have and maintain current automobile insurance.
• Must observe and comply with all company policies and safety practices.
