Participates in horticultural activities under close supervision on acreage, in nursery, or in environmentally controlled structure such as greenhouse by performing the following essential
duties and responsibilities:
- Planting in Pots and containers
- Moving and spacing plants
- Pinching or pruning plants
- Irrigating plants
- Selecting and collecting plants for harvest
- Removing weeds from plants
- Applying fertilizers to plants
- Cleaning plants
- Applying labels to plants
- Other duties as assigned
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Education and/or Experience
No prior experience or training.
Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Ability to print and speak simple sentences.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
