Production 1 Cactus Production
Participates in activities of horticulture under close supervision in the field, in nurseries, and within controlled environment structures such as greenhouses, performing the following
tasks and essential responsibilities:
- Planting in pots and containers
- Move and space plants
- Prune plants by hand or with garden shears
- Water plants
- Select and collect plant cuttings for harvest
- Remove weed plants
- Apply fertilizer to plants
- Clean plants
- Apply labels to plants
Other tasks will be assigned as required
Planting in pots in the fields
Accommodating 1, 2, 5 and 15 gallons pots
Planting quarters pots on the ground if a plant
Planting of quarters pots on a table if it is 5 cuts
Created potted gardens of 12 “, 14”, 18 “, 21”, etc., while standing on a table.
Collect 1, 2, 5, 10 and 15 gallons plants to fulfill orders
Make cuttings of mother plants while squatting on the floor
Transplanting standing in a pot to another over trailers
Removing grass and making room while crouched over pots
Do not bring food and/or beverages because they can attract insects and viruses to the plants in the work area. Especially containing sweeteners such as sodas, sports drinks (Gatorade), etc.
Morning breaks are between 8:00 am and 8:10 am.
Lunch is from 10:00 am to 10:30 am.
Afternoon breaks are 20 minutes long, between 1:00 pm and 1:20 pm
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
